I chose this video because it is visually stunning, inspiring, and filmed in some of the yoga world’s most holy places. What you see here is mostly a series of Sun Salutations and incorporated Warrior Poses. We all should aspire to find this sense of deep peace, deep strength, thankfulness, and gratitude. Breathe…

Guided Meditation: Affirmation, Relaxation and Self-Esteem

This is one of the better guided meditation self-esteem affirmations that I have found. It's a very peaceful meditation and a good one to practice if you're going through a rough time, period of stress or have a hectic lifestyle. Also, these affirmation types of guided meditation can really help when you go through those times of uncertainty and insecurity (as we all do). Great to listen to before bed! [watch video]

Buddhist Chant – Heart Sutra

Buddhist Chant - Heart Sutra:

The Heart Sutra is considered one of the most important Buddhist chants. It is also referred to as The Heart of Perfect Wisdom Sutra, or Essence of Wisdom Sutra. This sutra is very popular among Mahayana Buddhists both for its brevity and depth of meaning. It also incorporates a mantra within the chant. The chant is so peaceful and meditative, if you need a moment in the day to regroup, this is the one to listen to. Be careful with this Sutra, though -- listen quietly with your eyes closed. This is a "Heart Sutra" after all, and hearing the chanting can often bring up emotions that you may not have known you were feeling. If you do find yourself welling up with emotion, relax, breathe, try to figure out what exactly you are feeling. It could be joy, sadness, regret, pain -- any and all of these emotions are normal and can be dealt with once recognized. Listen to the Sutra again, to bring yourself back to a peaceful space. Power Yoga: Strength for Beginners - Rodney Yee:

This is a beginner's instructional yoga video put out by Giam and taught by Rodney Yee. I particularly like this yoga routine because it helps achieve greater strength and flexibility. It's also a really good routine for men who have been weight training for years, and need to add flexibility without sacrificing strength and size. [watch video]
